I am a Brazilian soil scientist and biogeochemist with over a decade of experience in mangrove conservation. Currently, I serve as a professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Sao Paulo - Faculty of Philosophy, Languages and Human Sciences.
My research focuses on understanding the impacts of pollution, deforestation, and climate change on mangrove ecosystems. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to finding effective solutions to the challenges facing mangroves, aiming to contribute to their preservation.
In recent years, mangroves have gained recognition for their ecological services and their crucial role in mitigating climate change. This recognition has further motivated me to continue my work in mangrove conservation, with a commitment to making a positive impact on these vital environments.
